About Us
Dr. Marcela Kitaigorodsky (Dr. K), is a Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of mental health conditions and neurological disorders (including Alzheimer’s Disease). Dr. K is highly skilled at providing long-term and short-term evidenced based psychotherapy and rehabilitation services to adults who are experiencing either common mental health issues (e.g. depression, anxiety, life transition, grief & loss, interpersonal concerns, dealing with a medical condition, adjustment issues) or who are rehabilitating from a neurological insult (e.g. stroke, acquired traumatic brain injury, ect). As a native Spanish speaker and expert cross-cultural psychologist, she provides services in English and Spanish. She is also available for telehealth sessions.
Dr. kitaigorodsky graduated summa cum laude from her doctorate program at Albizu University, an APA accredited, private University in Doral, FL with a specialization in Neuropsychology. She has achieved notably achievements and awards throughout her training. She completed an APA accredited internship at the prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital, Adult Rehabilitation Department and her two-year formal fellowship in Neuropsychology at the world-renowned Trauma center level 1, Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Kitaigorodsky was then invited to join the faculty at the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor and attending Neuropsychologist. Dr. Kitaigorodsky has served as the director of Cognitive Research Operations at the Center For Cognitive Neuroscience & Aging, University Of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is the founder and CEO of Florida Neuro-Health and is highly invested in helping clients achieve their goals. She also serves as a professional consultant for several active Research studies targeted at improving the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease and related Disorders.
Dr. K has authored and contributed to numerous research manuscripts, educational webinars, and book chapters. She has been a co-investigator for several state and nationally funded research studies targeted at improving the diagnosis and assessment of dementias. Lastly, as a passionate certified Alzheimer’s Disease Association educator Dr. K was invited to present on several community events, forums, and educational webinars targeted at improving dementia awareness and improving brain health.
